Caring and Cooking For my Love During Cancer Treatment
In September 2018, we got the shocking news that my wife Liz was diagnosed with high stage 3 – stage 4 ovarian cancer.
Shocking, to say the least, even more so when we were told that she only had 1.5 – 2 years to live. Well, that’s a long time ago; Liz beat the odds for a long time. On the 29th of November 2022 she passed away.
The book is about the six-year journey with a few suggestions of what you can expect and do as a cancer patient and caregiver. The book will also have a few stories from other people in it. This book will make you cry and laugh.
With this book, I want to make a slight difference. I will donate 50% of the net profit to cancer research. The foundation is currently managed through the Canadian Cancer Society, but I would like to have my own foundation eventually.
Further, since I love cooking and have written a cookbook previously, I have included a bunch of recipes at the end of the book. These recipes are easy to make, and a person with very limited cooking experience can make them. You really get two books in one.
The book will be available on Amazon as an eBook, paperback and hard copy. If you want to be notified when the book is available, please sign up below and we will add your name to the list.
